  International day for prevention of violence against women.


    November 25th was declared as the international day for prevention of violence against women. We the student  teachers of MOTC have conducted a special program for the awareness of student teachers about this particular day. With the help of IQAC a talk show has been conducted (Sruthi,  Priyanka Rajeev, Athira ,Revathi, Greeshma, Reshmi )from English, Social Science, Commerce, Physical Science departments respectively to initiative to conduct the programme. 

    This started the dog show by introducing Lakshmi Agarwal, the living victim of acid attack in India. The intention of the dog show was to give importance to the freedom of  life without fear. 

    Later we presented a one of the famous advertisement (“Pennayal ponnu venam”) and we conducted a open forum discussion to get the opinion of all student teachers which was really a lively session of the whole program.  The session concluded with the opinion that girls beauty is not depend upon the appearance or the attire she wears. Here we could give importance to the topic  “against dowry”.


    Again we showed some slides regarding latest criminal cases against dowry.  Later we emphasized the importance of the laws against women violations by presenting some slides.


    Later we explained that the gender bias should not be entertained and teach important of gender equality from early childhood.

    Then we reminded all student teachers to ensure the equality between both gender from the classroom.


    Women friendly spaces should be created in the society, family and colleges. First step was to announce that our MOTC is a woman friendly campus and that message was conveyed by principal Dr. Limsy John to the student teachers.
